When we worked with special needs individuals for several years one of them often messed up our names. We were not Megann and Mitch. We were bacon and bitch. I think it fits except just the opposite. Mitch loves bacon and I am a really nice person . . . most of the time.

Help! I need ideas!
So, I have been searching for the perfect cookie for my family's annual Christmas cookie exchange. I have tried several different recipes and just can' decide. Does anyone have a favorite Christmas cookie recipe that they could give me?
Hi! Random visitor here. I popped over from Julie Jensen's blog, so I figured since I was here, I'd share a fabulous recipe that's very festive. It's a swedish (or German) cookie called Lebkuchen. It's 4 eggs, 3 cups brown sugar, 2 1/2 cups flour (yup, you read that right!), 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. cloves and an optional 1 cup finely chopped nuts. Mix it together, spread into a 10"x15"x1" pan (a jelly roll pan) and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Once it's out but still hot, brush on a glaze that's 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 c. water and then pour sprinkles in festive colors over the top! It's so yummy!
That's a great suggestion from Shandra! (Above). I may have to try that myself.
I have a fun recipe that I actually stole from the show "Good Eats" on the Food Network. It's Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel cookies. A bit of an involved recipe, but they taste fantastic and make a great festive treat. Here's a link:
These were a big hit for the open house following Tayslie's blessing. They're similar to a shortbread cookie. They are made with pistachio pudding and miniature chocolate chips.
I wish I had an awesome cookie idea, but I am not much of a baker. Although I do know a good website where you might be able to find something: recipezaar.com Good luck!
For Christmas my favorite two would be Cranberry Hootycreeks or Molasses Crinkles--both VERY worthy of trying. Both recipes are on my cooking blog www.icookandtell.blogspot.com
Just search in the search bar or under desserts. Good luck and let us know what wins so we can share in the yumminess!!

Have your brother Ryan whip something up! The ones he made for us were delicious!
